Health advisory level

A non-regulatory concentration of a contaminant in drinking water at which adverse health effects are not anticipated to occur over specific exposure durations. These levels are developed by health agencies to provide technical guidance to public health officials. They are typically based on toxicological data and risk assessment principles.
