Protein data bank file
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009575
A standardized text file format used to store atomic coordinates and related information for macromolecular structures, primarily proteins and nucleic acids, determined by methods such as X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, or cryo-electron microscopy. These files contain details about atom types, residue names, chain identifiers, and experimental conditions. The Protein Data Bank (PDB) is the central repository for these files.
