An Automatic Document Feeder, a feature on scanners, photocopiers, and multifunction printers that automatically feeds multiple pages into the device for scanning, copying, or faxing. This eliminates the need to manually place each page on the platen glass. ADFs are rated by their capacity, indicating the maximum number of sheets they can hold at one time.
