Camera RAW
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000156
A collection of unprocessed image data captured directly from a digital camera's image sensor. This format retains all the information recorded by the sensor before any in-camera processing, such as white balance, sharpening, or color adjustments, are applied. Unlike JPEG, which is an 8-bit compressed format, RAW files typically store 12-bit or 14-bit data per color channel.
