Coaxial cable

An electrical cable with an inner conductor surrounded by a tubular insulating layer, which is then surrounded by a tubular conducting shield and an outer insulating sheath. This design minimizes signal loss and electromagnetic interference. It is commonly used for cable television distribution and was historically used for Ethernet networks.
