High-level language

A programming language designed with a high degree of abstraction from the internal operations of a computer's central processing unit. It uses syntax closer to human language, making code easier to write, read, and maintain compared to low-level languages. A program written in a high-level language like Python, Java, or C++ must be translated into machine code by a compiler or interpreter before the computer can execute it.
