Machine language

The lowest-level programming language, consisting of binary instructions that a computer's central processing unit (CPU) can directly execute. Each instruction corresponds to a specific operation performed by the hardware, such as moving data or performing an arithmetic calculation. Programs written in higher-level languages must be translated into machine language by compilers or interpreters before execution.
