Kbps
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-001486
A unit of data transfer rate, kilobits per second, measuring the speed at which data is transmitted over a network or communication channel. One kilobit per second is equivalent to 1,000 bits per second. This unit is used to quantify the bandwidth of internet connections, such as older dial-up modems which operated at speeds like 56 Kbps, and the bit rate of audio streams.
