Kilobit

A unit of digital information or data storage equal to 1,000 bits. The kilobit (kb) is a decimal-based multiple of the bit, and it is most frequently used for measuring data transfer rates in kilobits per second (Kbps). It is distinct from the kibibit (Kib), which is a binary-based unit representing 1,024 bits and is used for measuring memory capacity.
