Mod function

Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-001506

A mathematical operation that calculates the remainder when one number is divided by another. It is commonly represented as 'a mod n', where 'a' is the dividend and 'n' is the divisor, yielding a result between 0 and n-1 (inclusive) for positive integers. This function is widely used in programming for tasks such as determining if a number is even or odd, cyclic array indexing, and cryptographic algorithms.
