Integer
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000595
A data type representing a whole number, which can be positive, negative, or zero, with no fractional part. In programming, integers are used for counting, indexing arrays, and performing arithmetic where precision is not required for decimal places. Common integer types include 32-bit integers, which can represent values from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647, and 64-bit integers for a much larger range.
