Native file

A file format that is specific to a particular software application or operating system, designed to be opened and edited directly by that software without conversion. These files often contain proprietary data structures and metadata that are not easily interpreted by other programs. For example, a .docx file is a native file for Microsoft Word, while a .psd file is native to Adobe Photoshop.
