A cloud computing service model that provides a platform allowing customers to develop, run, and manage applications. The provider manages the underlying infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking, as well as the middleware, development tools, and database management systems. This Platform as a Service (PaaS) model is distinct from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which offers only basic computing resources, and Software as a Service (SaaS), which delivers complete applications.
