Plotter
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-001525
A computer output device that prints vector graphics by drawing continuous lines with a pen, rather than printing a series of dots like a conventional printer. Plotters are used to produce large, high-resolution drawings such as architectural blueprints, engineering designs, and maps. While largely replaced by wide-format inkjet printers, pen plotters are still used for their precision in creating line art.
