SMTP

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, an internet standard communication protocol for sending electronic mail across IP networks. It specifies how email messages are transmitted from a sender's mail client to a mail server, and between mail servers. SMTP typically uses port 25 for unencrypted communication and port 587 for encrypted submission.
