A computer program that delivers web content, such as HTML pages, images, and other files, to client devices upon request. It listens for incoming requests over a network, typically using the HTTP or HTTPS protocol, processes them, and sends back the appropriate responses. Common examples include Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, Microsoft IIS, and Caddy.
