Agreement State

1. A state that has signed an agreement with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) allowing the state to license and inspect byproduct, source, or special nuclear materials used or possessed within their borders. See, NRC Agreement State Program: https://www.nrc.gov/agreement-states.html

2. A state that has signed an agreement with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) allowing them to regulate the use of some radioactive material within the state.
