Blast furnace

1. Any reduction furnace to which sinter is charged and which forms separate layers of molten slag and lead bullion.
2. Furnace that is located at an integrated iron and steel plant and is used for the production of molten iron from iron ore pellets and other iron bearing materials.
3. Furnace used to recover metal from slag.
