Ecological effects characterization

1. A portion of the analysis phase of ecological risk assessment that evaluates the ability of a stressor to cause adverse effects under a particular set of circumstances.
2. The process for examining effects; evaluates stressor-response relationships or evidence that exposure to stressors causes an observed response.
