1. When aquatic organisms, including eggs and larvae, are pulled from a water body into an industrial facility cooling system, passed through the heat exchanger, and then discharged back into the source water body.

2. The mixing of environmental air into a preexisting air current or cloud so that the environmental air becomes part of the current or cloud.
