Entrainment

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003962

The process by which a fluid, such as air or water, carries along suspended particles or dissolved substances. In atmospheric chemistry, this involves the incorporation of aerosols or gases into air masses. This phenomenon influences the transport and distribution of pollutants and natural atmospheric constituents over long distances.
