Gustiness

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005061

The characteristic of atmospheric air movement marked by rapid and irregular fluctuations in wind speed and direction. This phenomenon is caused by atmospheric turbulence, which results from variations in temperature, terrain, and obstacles. Gustiness influences the dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere, leading to intermittent and uneven distribution of airborne substances.
