Gustiness

The characteristic of wind exhibiting frequent and rapid fluctuations in speed and direction, rather than blowing steadily. It is a measure of atmospheric turbulence, often associated with unstable atmospheric conditions or rough terrain. Gustiness is quantified by parameters such as gust factor or standard deviation of wind speed.
