Field reagent blank

Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-010943

1. An aliquot of reagent water or other blank matrix that is shipped to the field sampling site, where it is poured into a separate FRB sample bottle and shipped back to the laboratory for analysis. The FRB is treated as a sample in all respects, including shipment to/from the sampling site, exposure to the sampling site conditions, storage, preservation, and all analytical procedures. The purpose of the FRB is to determine if method analytes or other interferences are present in the field environment. {OW/TSC}
