1. High-efficiency particulate air filters that are rated to achieve a minimum initial particle-removal efficiency of 99.97% using ASTM F 1471-93 (incorporated by reference in § 1065.1010).
2. Filter that has a 99.97 percent reduction efficiency for 0.3 micron aerosol.
3. Type of control device that uses a filter composed of a mat of randomly arranged fibers and is designed to remove at least 99.97 percent of airborne particles that are 0.3 micrometers or larger in diameter.
