1. Criterion used to narrow the data elements that are used for an analysis or are shown on the screen (e.g., a filter could specify a subset of an emissions inventory to use in an analysis, or a subset of control measures to consider).

2. Include cartridge, fabric, or HEPA filters, as defined in this section.

3. Porous device through which PCE is passed to remove contaminants in suspension. Examples include, but are not limited to, lint filter, button trap, cartridge filter, tubular filter, regenerative filter, prefilter, polishing filter, and spin disc filter.
