Latin Hypercube Sampling

Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-015447

A variant of the Monte Carlo sampling method that ensures selection of equal numbers of values from all segments of the distribution. LHS divides the distribution into regions of equal sampling coverage. Hence, the values obtained will be forced to cover the entire distribution. It is more efficient than simple random sampling, i.e., it requires fewer iterations to generate the distribution sufficiently.
