Resource Conservation and Recovery Act facility investigation

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Facility Investigation (RFI) evaluates the nature and extent of the hazardous waste and hazardous constituents and gathers necessary data to support the RCRA Corrective Measures Study (CMS) or the RCRA Interim/Stabilization Measures (ISM). RFIs are the RCRA equivalent to a Superfund remedial investigation (RI).
