Response Additivity
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-024129
In a mixture, when the toxic response (rate, incidence, risk, or probability of effects) from the combination is equal to the conditional sum of component responses as defined by the formula for the sum of independent event probabilities. For two chemical mixtures, for example, the body’s response to the first chemical is the same whether or not the second chemical is present.
