Stream Bed

1. The unvegetated portion of a channel boundary below the baseflow level.
2. The channel through which a natural stream of water runs or used to run, as a dry streambed.
3. The substrate of the stream channel between the ordinary high water marks. The substrate may be bedrock or inorganic particles that range in size from clay to boulders. Wetlands contiguous to the stream bed, but outside of the ordinary high water marks, are not considered part of the stream bed.
