Surface Water

Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-027383

1. All water naturally open to the atmosphere (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, streams, impoundments, seas, estuaries, etc.)

2. All water naturally open to the atmosphere (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, streams, seas, estuaries) and all springs, wells, or other collectors directly influenced by surface water.

3. The water that systems pump and treat from sources open to the atmosphere, such as rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.

4. Surface water is all water naturally open to the atmosphere, such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, streams, and seas.

5. All water naturally open to the atmosphere, such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, streams, estuaries, and springs.

6. All water naturally open to the atmosphere (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, streams, impoundments, seas, estuaries, etc.) and all springs, wells, or other collectors directly influenced by surface water.

7. All water naturally open to the atmosphere (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, streams, impoundments, seas, estuaries, etc) and all springs, wells, or other collectors which are directly influenced by surface water.

8. Bodies of water that form and remain above ground, such as lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, bays, and oceans.

9. Water that is on the Earth's surface, such as in a stream, river, lake, or reservoir.

10. Water upon the surface of the earth, whether contained in bounds created naturally or artificially or diffused. Water from natural springs shall be classified as surface water when it exits from the spring onto the Earth's surface.

11. All water which is open to the atmosphere and subject to surface runoff.

12. Surface water is all water naturally open to the atmosphere, such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, streams, wetlands, oceans and estuaries.

13. Water present at the earth's surface. Surface water includes rivers, lakes, oceans, ocean-like water bodies, and coastal tidal waters, as defined in HRS section 4.0.2.

14. All water natural open to the atmosphere, such as rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
