1. (tel-LEM-uh-tree) The electrical link between the transmitter and the receiver. Telephone lines are commonly used to serve as the electrical line.
2. Telemetry systems automatically record sampling measurements and then transmit the data over long distance communication links, such as satellite or telephone, to receiving sites.
