Turbidimeter

1. A device that measures the amount of suspended solids in a liquid.
2. A device that measures the cloudiness of suspended solids in a liquid; a measure of the quantity of suspended solids.
3. A turbidity meter consists of a light source that illuminates a water sample and a photoelectric cell that measures the intensity of light scattered at a 90 angle by the particles in the sample. It measures turbidity in nephelometric turbidity units or NTUs.
