A performance metric in automotive testing that measures the time it takes for a vehicle to accelerate from a standstill (0 miles per hour or kilometers per hour) to 60 miles per hour (or 100 kilometers per hour) and then decelerate back to a complete stop (0 mph/kph). This test evaluates both acceleration and braking capabilities. The measurement is typically recorded in seconds.
