Slow speed control

An electronic control fitted to a locomotive that holds it at a very low, steady speed so that a train can be loaded or unloaded while still moving, as with merry-go-round coal trains in Britain. The driver selects a crawl speed, and the control varies traction power against load to hold it. Speeds range from about half a mile per hour up to about three miles per hour.
