Air ride

A suspension system in vehicles, particularly trucks and buses, that uses compressed air instead of conventional springs to support the chassis and absorb road shocks. This system provides a smoother ride, reduces vibration, and can maintain a constant vehicle height regardless of load. Air ride suspensions are common in vehicles transporting sensitive cargo or passengers.
