Airshaft

A vertical or inclined passage constructed within a building, mine, or underground structure to facilitate ventilation or provide access. This conduit allows for the movement of fresh air into and stale air out of enclosed spaces, maintaining breathable conditions. Airshafts are often equipped with fans or other mechanical systems to regulate airflow.
