Ballgown

A formal gown for women, worn to balls and similar social events, with a fitted bodice and a long, full skirt. Ball gowns are made of satin, silk, taffeta, or tulle, with the full skirt supported by a petticoat or crinoline. Necklines are often low or off the shoulder, and any sleeves are short.
