Blu-ray Disc

An optical disc storage format designed for high-definition video and high-capacity data storage, succeeding the DVD format. It uses a blue-violet laser with a shorter wavelength (405 nm) than the red laser used in DVDs, allowing for a higher data density. A single-layer Blu-ray Disc can store 25 gigabytes of data.
