Bodkin

A blunt, thick needle with a large eye, used for threading elastic, ribbon, or cord through casings or hems in fabric. Its rounded tip prevents it from piercing the fabric, while its sturdy construction allows it to push through tight channels. Bodkins are available in metal or plastic and sometimes feature a clamp to grip the material being threaded.
