Becket

A loop of rope, fabric, or other material that serves as a handle or an attachment point on a textile item. In sewing and tailoring, a becket can be a fabric loop used in place of a buttonhole or a small strap sewn into a garment for hanging. On nautical canvas goods like sail bags, a rope becket provides a sturdy handle for carrying or securing the item.
