An uncastrated adult male bovine animal kept for breeding purposes to produce offspring and improve herd genetics. A single bull can service a large number of cows, making his genetic quality a determinant of the future herd's characteristics, such as milk production or meat quality. Due to their size and temperament, special handling facilities and management practices are required for safety on the farm.
