Code Division Multiple Access: A digital cellular technology that allows multiple users to share the same frequency channel simultaneously by assigning a unique code to each communication. This method spreads the signal over a wider bandwidth, making it more resistant to interference and enabling higher capacity. CDMA was widely adopted in 2G and 3G mobile networks, particularly in North America.
