Crochet
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001441
A method of fabric production where yarn is looped together using a hooked needle, either by hand or by specialized industrial machinery. Industrial crochet machines produce fabrics, lace, and trimmings by interlocking loops of yarn in a chain-like structure. Unlike knitting, which keeps many stitches open at once, each crochet stitch is completed before the next one begins, forming a distinct textile structure.
