Yarnover

A knitting technique that creates a new stitch and an eyelet or hole in the fabric by bringing the working yarn over the knitting needle. This method is used to increase the stitch count, create decorative lace patterns, or form buttonholes. The yarnover stitch is typically worked in conjunction with decreases to maintain the stitch count for lace.
