Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003348

A specific style of handmade lace characterized by embroidering patterns onto a machine-made net fabric. This craft involves two primary techniques: tambour, which uses a hook to create a chain stitch, and needlerun, which uses a needle to darn stitches onto the net ground. Unlike true laces where the ground and pattern are created simultaneously, Limerick lace is a form of decorated net.
