A collection of two or more interconnected terminals in an electronic circuit that are at the same electrical potential. In printed circuit board (PCB) design, a net represents a single electrical connection, such as a power rail, ground plane, or a signal trace linking multiple component pins. A netlist file is a text-based description of all the nets in a circuit, used to transfer a design between different EDA software tools.
