Dip stitch

A knitting technique where a stitch is worked into a loop or stitch from a row several rows below the current working row. This creates an elongated stitch that appears to 'dip' into the fabric, adding texture and visual interest. It is often used to create decorative patterns or to add stability to a knitted piece.
