Lockstitch

A sewing machine stitch formed by two threads, one passing through the fabric from above and the other interlocking with it from below. This creates a secure, reversible stitch that appears identical on both sides of the fabric. It is the most common stitch type used in industrial and domestic sewing machines for garment construction.
