A knitting abbreviation for 'with yarn in back', an instruction to hold the working yarn behind the work while slipping a stitch or working the next one. It is paired with wyif, 'with yarn in front'. On a right-side row, slipping a stitch with the yarn in back places the float on the wrong side of the fabric.
